Database Software for Archaeology: The archaeological information system InTerris Registries™ (previously known as ArcheoLINK-Americas), by QLC Inc., offers a total solution for storage, management and querying of all data for one or more archaeological projects. Whether it concerns field data, artifact data, specialist/lab data, curation and repository data, images or field drawings, measurements or cartographic data, the InTerris Registries™ system has a solution for it. Our system is continuously updated to add new functionality to meet the criteria of its users. It is the ultimate database software for archaeology whether it is in the field or at your desk.
The InTerris Registries™ system can work as a simple stand-alone product or via a network with its own file format. Or it can work in an environment with higher demands with a client server system in a computer network based on SQLserver. Both a proprietary situation where users take care of their own SQLserver set up and licenses, as well as the use of an online hosted SQLserver database through the MS-Azure services are supported.
The InTerris Registries™ system allows data entry and management that can both take place on stand-alone (field) computers as well as on multiple computers within a network. By means of a merge and synchronization functionality, datasets on which have been worked in different locations, can be integrated in a controlled manner. Think about a situation where artifact processing data is being entered or changed within a network environment and at the same time field data is being entered or changed on a separate (field) computer out of reach of the computer network.
The InTerris Registries™ system is flexible enough to ensure proper data storage of any known field methodology, whether it is a surface excavation, a midden excavation, a stratigraphical excavation or a combination of those. The ultimate database software for archaeology whether it is in the field or at your desk.
